Volunteer for Boston Veg Food Fest!
The Festival is organized and staffed entirely by volunteers who donate their labor, time, and talents to bring this event to life. Our Organizing Committee is active year-round, and come Festival weekend, we rely on YOU, our greatly appreciated volunteers, to make the event happen!
Volunteers can contribute as many hours as you like, whether it’s a two-hour shift, a half day, or the weekend! There are varied tasks, such as handing out programs, staffing the welcome table or T-shirt sales table, helping at the BVS book table or the BVS info table, assisting our chefs with their cooking demos (good food prep skills required), or helping with our huge recycling and composting efforts. We need volunteers who are great with children for our Kids’ Activity Room. If you’d like to contribute your hours before the show begins, offer to help exhibitors unload on Saturday morning! There is also setup on Friday night 6-10, and pack-up after closing on Sunday.
There will be a volunteer orientation meeting before the festival on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 7 PM at the Reggie Lewis Center. All volunteers are invited but not required to attend. It is a chance to get acquainted, tour the building, and become comfortable with your role. It is especially important that SuperVolunteers attend this orientation.
Please fill in this sign-up form. Our volunteer coordinator will contact you regarding scheduling as the festival date approaches.
